For the last several years now, anyone in the healthcare provider sector, has heard about or been highly anticipating the move to ICD-10.  The upcoming change will obviously require investments to be made, but will be more costly to those not taking the necessary steps in order to make it a smooth transition.  These steps include preparing the billing department, investing in staff training on how to use the system, and then a proper roll out on ‘D -Day.’  Being prepared for this change is essential to the financial success for all healthcare organizations.  So, be sure to do your due diligence and keep staff educated.  Hopefully this article is a good start.
